Responsibilities of Employers
- You must create a safe system of work
- You must eliminate risks of injury to employees and others
- You must train and instruct in the performance of the safe working system
- You must consult employees and workers
Fines can range from $55,000 up to $550,000 for first offences, and from $82,500 up to $1.6m, and potential imprisonment for previous offences. Fines may be applied to Directors as well as Managers.
